Here's my latest acquisition. This one was just too inexpensive to pass. Ref. 136.0019. Movement is the manual 613. Seems to be in good nick and for the last 24 hours has been nearly spot on with my atomic clock. Crystal is aftermarket and upon further examination is starting to show a bit of crazing. The case is monocoque and features the hippocampus.
Omega's database lists this watch as a De Ville, though I doubt it is a redial. The case appears to have been polished a bit, though the edges are still sharp.

Can anyone suggest the best place to get an authentic replacement crystal?

    Is that missing the bezel?

I don't think so. It looks like the one on Omega's site. It requires the crystal to be removed to access the movement.

Looks to me in the second pic that it is (look at the lugs - there is an edge where the bezel would meet up with them)

I don't see a problem with the edge adjoining the lugs, I have a SM with an identical feature.
safetyfast is that really a front loader ? screw back no ?

Tool 106.. it's a front loader/unishell/monocoque. They usually taper to look like screw backs. My 166.0033 is the same.

I've scrounged the net but can only find a few pics of similar watches. No bezel on any of them.

One of the neat features is the quick date set which is adjusted by pulling the crown out.

Original Omega crystals go for $45-90 if you can find one. Omega's case numbering system is very very difficult so make sure you confirm your sizing with a micrometer before you pull the trigger since returns are rarely offered.

It looks like you have a well-fitted after market crystal, so unless you're trying to sell this or require that it be authentic Omega for your own OCD, I'd suggest that you just enjoy wearing your new watch. Switch it out when you smash the crystal on the counter top or some other equally tragic move... Not that I've ever done such a thing. :whistling:

So, I have a seamaster with the same case that has a bezel, which is removed before removing the crystal. I'm quite sure yours is missing the bezel. It's a subtle difference (again, look at where it meets the lugs - bezel height is above the lugs, without bezel there is that edge I referred to earlier):

    With Bezel:

    Without bezel (or crystal):

BTW, polywatch goes a long way on crystal scratches, I would try that first...

I see the difference, but don't think it's the same case. I don't see a way floor a bezel to attach. I've loomed at a couple of other examples o this watch and neither had a bezel.

Actually, the seamaster case in your photo is different in that the lugs a. The SM are higher than the case. On the Geneve the lugs are slightly lower than the rest of the case.

Ah, I see, it looked to me like your lugs are above the edge of the case, but really they're below? That would make more sense...

Sorry. I'm still not convinced the bezel isn't missing and somebody installed the wrong size crystal. Might be why you got it cheap. However, if I'm wrong I'll offer my apologies.
