I like Longines watches...I dont like that admiral and the day indicator and also would like the date to be in black colors not red.
    cheers

Looks like a caliber 508 from the mid 60's to early 70's. Nice daily wearer.

Could it be a Cal 503 its hard to read spot on with the date the date finder I use makes it circa 1967
    Thanks for all comments ,
I believe the roulette effect black and red day date was original does that ring true?

Could be a 503. That had the day & date also. A Google search reminded me about Dr. Ranfft's website:

    http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&1archimedeshop&a0&2uswk&Longines_503

    Remarks
    equivalent to Record 1958
This movement line is a Record design, and it was adopted by Longines, when Record was acquired by Longines. It is not known, whether the later variants with 21600A/h were also available as Record calibres.

    family/generations:
    19800 A/h:
    501: date
    503: day, date
    505: quickset date
    507: day, quickset date
    21600 A/h, micrometer regulator:
    506: quickset date
    508: day, quickset date

    Example, year: signature; shock device
    1968: 14357281, LXW, Longines 503, Swiss, 17 Jewels; Kif-Ultraflex
