Up for sale is my personal Breitling Chrono Cockpit (Reference number A13357), which I purchased from an AD in 2005. The watch is in pristine condition and comes with original papers, all boxes, warranty card and all extra links that came with the watch. There are some scratches around the bracelet clasp area but other than that there is hardly any sign of use in this 15 year old watch. The watch is keeping great time. The case is all stainless steel and the dial is beautiful blue with silver sub dials. This is an automatic Chronometer, with 12-hour chronograph, date, small seconds, and a screw-down crown. The bezel on the watch is unidirectional and rotates counterclockwise. The bracelet is an all steel, original Pilot Bracelet with flip-lock clasp, which is also in great condition and comes with all original links. The watch diameter is 39mm, not too big or not too small, just right for guys like me with smaller wrist but still like chronographs. I love watches, and I take very good care of them. I own many watches so, not one gets all the wrist time as they are on rotation. I seldom sell my watches but since I joined this forum about 3-4 years ago my taste has shifted more towards vintage watches. This watch definitely will be a keeper for someone because of its condition. Please look at the many pictures I have posted here and make your own evaluation, as I will not accept any return unless my description is blatantly false. I will sell the watch for $1970 (net to me and through Paypal), which is lower than any place I have seen recently. The watch is available only within the continental US. I will pay for the shipping via UPS ground, insured. I have purchased many watches on this forum but this is only my second sale. Should you have any question, need more pictures or references please contact me. My sincerest appreciation to this forum for allowing me to make this post, thank you.
It has been brought to my attention by another forum member (with great eyes) that the crystal on this watch has a faint scratch. The member reached out to me privately and enlightened me, and I appreciate that. You can see the scratch, which is visible on the 30-minute chronograph register, between the numbers 20 and 30. The scratch is visible in some of the first few pictures in the post. The scratch is however not visible in some of the pictures towards the end of the post. I have provided high-resolution pictures taken with a macro lens and you can enlarge them to see. I do not know if it can be taken out with polywatch but I will not attempt that. Nevertheless, the scratch is there. My sincerest apologies for missing the fault.
Final Reduction $1700 net to me. Shipping and Paypal fees not included. Thanks to Omegaforums for the space.
I have attached two pictures of the lume. First one taken after exposing for 30 seconds. The watch was then put in total darkness in the box. The second pictrure was taken after eight (8) minutes in the box. The lume was still very visible after total 10 minutes after exposing.
Hope it sold to an OF member. A lot of watch for $1600 and new owner should be very happy with their purchase.
Yes going to a long time OF member. I am happy that it stayed in the family . It is a great price for the condition of the watch. I am only selling for a grail watch. Normally I am a keeper (hoarder). Thanks
