EDIT NOTICE: More specific information regarding our overnight hotel location is bolded and underlined below. Howdy, folks...I was just assigned a flight rotation (I'm a Delta Air Lines pilot and an enthusiastic watch wearer) that overnights in Toronto tomorrow night (09SEP16) at the Renaissance Toronto on One Blue Jay Way (downtown). We are scheduled to land tomorrow at 1943 (7:43 pm) flying Delta 2550 and will depart the hotel the next day at about 1400 (2:00 pm). Let me know here if anyone wants to have a YYZ GTG...either Friday night or Saturday morning. I did try to do this a few weeks ago regarding a NYC GTG but it didn't work out so well because I was rerouted mid rotation and never made it to NYC. "FREE STUFF" announcement: Anyone attending this last minute YYZ GTG will receive "real plastic" Delta Air Lines wings (pictured below). Thank you, Collin, aka Mad Dog at OF, PM me for contact phone.
I spend many Friday evenings in YYZ waiting for final connection home from Europe, but this week I'll be flying SLC-DTW on a Delta bird. Sorry I can't make it and hope you enjoy your short stop North of the border! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Quadrophenic-Schizophrenia I'm marking this as I fly Delta and would freak if you were my pilot. Don't want to forget this name!
As a lowly Delta Platinum I would love to meet @Mad Dog. If they ever rotate you to LAX let me know. I can get you into the Sky Club.
I was just at YYZ last Friday! Just dropping someone off though. Give me a shout if you are ever in Buffalo! Would be great to meet you
Trade it in for a 75. Their sales are so slow, you can get a heck of a deal on one WITH the new pocket door between the pilots and cabin (you no longer have to smell the stinky pilot farts).
I haven't been through Toronto in years ... but if you ever have an upcoming layover at DTW (a Delta hub of course), send me a PM. You've got a GTG companion and overnight hospitality.
Only one thing keeps me from that GTG! That is 2,717 kms! I'd love to be there, but it isn't going to happen. So seldom anything as exciting as this happens north of the 49th! Hope you have lots of takers, and you all have a great time!
1. It's my late father's Hamilton Ross. 2. Yeppers...that's a great Rush song (and album)...it was HUGE when I was in high school back in the early 1980's. Also, I believe the bass line in the song YYZ is supposed to be the audio identifier (see Morse ID listed below) for the YYZ navaid but don't quote me on that. Waiting anxiously to see visual evidence of whatever mischief and high jinks you get up to in YYZ @Mad Dog Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Downtown YYZ (Toronto) Hooters says... "Wow, dude! Killer Speedy Gonzales watch! Killer Rothco Commando protective band! Killer Metallica t-shirt! Killer Dunkin' Donuts hat!" Mad Dog says... "I know...and THANK YOU for noticing my killer stuff!" Couple more pics while walking back to the layover hotel...
