    Hi,

I'll be buying this omega cal 1022 in the next few hours, but I wanted to check first if it's not a franken omega.
    Model is a vintage seamaster 166.213 cal 1022 (?)

What do you guys think ?

    Many thanks !

At the risk of being accused of being a douche, what have you been able to determine? How does it compare with other examples? What's the dial look like?

anyways to know if it's a franken one?

I'm also worried by black spots on some screws.

Research, time, and experience, in that order.

This is one of many, generic Seamaster models produced in the 1970s... so you're going to have to earn your stripes and go compare it against others out there in the wild.

If you don't know what you're looking at, then you really shouldn't be rushing into handing over money.

As you should be - the watch is in dire need of a service, and that needs to be taken into account against any price paid.

A gentle piece of advice from someone that's done a lot of dumb shit - put your wallet down, and walk away from the computer, do some research, and then start buying.
