I found this 105012-65 a couple of days ago, what are your thoughts ?
I think it's an honest example.

Very cool dial and the case looks nice from what can be seen. The hands look surprisingly white, but most likely that is just the lighting. Do you have photos of the inside?

The hands have probably been repainted. I wonder if I should try to restore the white paint, but the original tritium is still there so I'm not sure it's a good idea.
Yes I can make photos of the inside.

The case. Either that case is totally amazing or it has had what appears to be a real fine restoration. Exposure of the pics is a little overdone so hard to be certain. very nice watch.

    Isn’t 22 mil early for a 65?

I’d want to see natural light shots not post processed before I made an offer.

Not feeling that lume, and based on the color correction this will look different in hand.

    +1

There’s a warmth to the lighting that is very deceptive……needs daylight images, preferably taken at noon

I think the dial itself has pretty good potential, but the lume will be a big turn off in flesh.

I have a -65 Ed White on 22.827m with an extract from April 1966 so no it isn't too early for a 65. Speedmaster serials are funny in 1966, they jump from 22.xm to 24.xm in the space of about 3 months.

Some natural light pictures. Sometimes the dial is very dark, sometimes brown

I suspect that the opinions are going to be all over the place on this one, but what really matters is whether you like it.

Definitely still brown but it looks a lot less tropical in natural light. Strap in first pic looked tan and now looks a more realistic dark brown.

Great score! Does it come with a backstory?

It just goes to show how lighting is critical for tropical dials. It almost looks like a different watch in the second set of pictures.

It's easy to see how buyers for a tropical dial who make the purchase based purely on edited pictures could be disappointed in the flesh.

It's still nice in natural light but nowhere near to attractiveness suggested in the first set.

Indeed, we need to be careful when buying a tropical speedy, they can look very different in real. I decided to take it because everything is original, even the crown and pushers, which is quite rare. The patina has a lot of character and seems untouched.

The first pictures have not been "photoshopped", the watch really looked like this when I took them, but artificial lights are more powerful than natural sun.
