Bought this old De-Ville which had been butchered about three months ago, the first scan is of the original dial looks like its been worked over with a pick axe OldDe-Ville Dial.JPG

A trip to the WM and a new dial made for it in Italy its turned out to be a quite presentable watch

It measures 50mm x 28 and is quite a weight

Great, a redone dial or a replacement with an original one? If redone, it's a great job! I love this model that has a great presence on a wrist.

Great rescue. Is it rude to ask how much the dial cost you?

    Wow,
I have a 20f that my daughter has taken a fancy to and she is a "oooh shiny" person. Would they consider new customers and would you approve? I don't wish to be intrusive.

Initially I thought this was a smallish ladies type watch, then I read the dimensions 28x50mm, can you post some wrist shots?

Will try a few scans later today might look a bit odd on me as this is a Big Mans watch

    dsio

Here are two wrist shots one of my every day Century and the De-Ville for comparison - sorry about the quality as they were taken in poor light at ISO4000

Geez Prostie, you've just tipped me and Uncle Buck out of the running for the "Meanest Grumpy Old Man wrist Shot" of 2013.

;)Good solid wrists though, not like my chopsticks, what are you, a blacksmith, maybe a farmer?

Please don't tell me you're an accountant :(

It's taken 78 years to hone these wrists into the picture you see before you today

As a Blacksmith or a Farmer I would now be very comfortable in my retirement but as a poor ex Banker
I have to make do and mend:)

    Happy New Year
