Up for sale is a Bulova ST1 electric clock for restoration or parts. 16"x16", with red crescent moon second-hand. None-working. Appears to be from the '30s (based on online research).

What is shown in pic three? Dial side of movement mounted on rear panel?

Exactly. It's held in place by three screws (red). The wooden bar is nailed in place over the movement, and the dial is screwed into it (at the yellow).
