Beautiful piece! Good looking markers, dig that tip on the second hand! I showed to the wife and told her, here is a somewhat nice suggestion for father's day... :) she said, very nice but don't think it will happen tomorrow :-(

I'll just say the movement number was there before but wasnt a 20mil and I feel very sad for pointing it out because the watch looks so good

I know what you mean, case dial hands and bezel are all very sweet, and the patina on the radium really is excellent

Crazy good watch you have there sir. The bezel and caseback are in such great condition. Wear it, and enjoy it in good health.

I've actually just picked up a kangaroo NATO and I have to say I'm quite impressed, no thicker than nylon NATO but strong and supple. Also if you're an environmentalist its a good way to recycle used Kangaroo.

I appreciate that you did! :) But yes, I am a bit :cautious: But I think I need to get over it and start the next hunt.... Anyone selling any 2998's? :whistling: I'm still at a loss as the serial is clearly not from the watch...maybe 25mil. So that's 67 ish.. So it makes me query the rest of the watch. The bezel is like new though, dial and hands are really lovely to my eye.. Knew it was too good to be true! :(

+1. My favourite straps are from Jed. Very thin which is fantastic for vintage and like you said, very tough. I've tried out few other makers with similar strap style and I keep going back to him.

I have been down the same path, when the watch turned out not to be quite what I thought it was :( Disappointing but also part of the 'fun'

But you shouldn't let the serial number detract from such a great watch, it could even have been a factory replacement movement?

I know that I'd be very happy with such a beautiful watch and then I'd keep my eye out for a poor condition 321 with the correct serial number and swap them over :whistling:
