Hi Guys I would appreciate an authentication on this ladies Seamaster. Bought by my partners daughter when on holiday in UK. I have no idea if it's genuine, so I would appreciate your views. The numbers on the watch: Bottom of one of the lugs, 59752747 End links, 933 Clasp, 6610/933 Movement, 9 jewels, Swiss, V8
Looks fine to me Geoff, although the Omega vintage database doesn't pull it up by calibre. What's the reference number stamped on the inside of the caseback?
The 596 tells us it's a ladies electronic (quartz) water resistant watch. The 1640 is the sequence number. The caliber number comes up with a blank for Omega, but can quite likely be a replacement OEM caliber identical to that used by Omega. Maybe @Archer can check the serial number if he has time. 59752747 (He'll be sleeping at the moment, but Canadians rise very early, much earlier than their Southern neighbours).
The movement looks similar to an Omega 1424, but the conductor track layout is slightly different. http://calibercorner.com/omega-caliber-1424/ What is the watch case diameter?
Then this is the link you need:- https://watchbase.com/omega/seamaster-diver-300m/2284-50-00 Not sure why yours looks a little different. Maybe yours is some sort of generic service movement.
Most likely, but it's not unusual. Here is s similar example where a generic ETA movement (the actual movement used by Omega, plus their "brand") has been used. https://omegaforums.net/threads/what-the-heck-is-inside-this-omega-pre-bond.21002/
Serial number: 59752747 Article ref: 22845000 Should have a Cal. 1424 inside, and it should be clearly marked as such (and also as an Omega movement) so my guess is that there has at least been a circuit swapped with a non-omega part, or the whole movement has been swapped.
