Is that a watch?

Please push the flower button on your camera to put it in macro mode which allows close up focusing.

Not saying it is scrap but the value is based in the material content. That watch does not have much collector added value to it unfortunately.

He's not insulting you, just giving you the (sad) fact that lady's watches don't fetch much more than the value of the materials.

It is indeed a pretty watch. Jat you just have to keep in mind there are a lot of these, ladies watches were never worn daily and beaten up so must survived in good condition, the trouble is there's almost zero demand for these pieces today which is why the gold scrap value is really the only value it has.

Yeap, keep in mind though the weight is only of the gold, you'd have to weigh it without the movment/dial/crystal to get the true weight

dsio (et, al) gave a concise summarization of the "problem" with vintage lady watches.

i will however say what you have there is nicer than most. The dial (face) of your watch received some first class "clous de paris" treatment. I can't really see so much detail in the photos you provided but there appears to be some nice work done to this watch in general.

shoot me a pm if you're ever interested in selling.
