I joined the MB just over two years ago. I have 2,230 posts. I have never bought or sold watches over the internet. A friend has inherited 5 watches from the estate of a deceased relative. He will keep 4 of them, but he wishes to sell the ladie's Omega. What is board policy re: a member offering for sale and item he doesn't own. I have uploaded one photo, but I have others.

If you read the rules in the private sales section you will find that it is specifically prohibited. I should have thought you could find your way about if you have been here that long.

I sold a case to @Canuck and it was a pleasure dealing with him. A man of his word and a true watch enthusiast, in adition to an experienced watchmaker and regular poster.
    Calling @Syrte

Actually, I DID read the rules re: posting in the private sales section! I missed that rule. I made a mistake. I have seen watches listed by proxy by others on the MB, so it seems I am not the first one to make this mistake. Perhaps a moderator might remove the offending post.
