I'd be more annoyed with the dial which has a bit of crap on it, could be a candidate for a careful cleaning

Gold dials can be cleaned with a secret sauce at times.

Hoi, would you mind share the secret? I have a Deluxe that would need some dial cleaning?

No guarantee any sauce - secret or otherwise - would work with any dial - gold or non-gold. You could do exactly what Hoi did on his dial on your gold dial and ruin yours while his improved a lot. For the vast majority of dial situations, the best plan is to leave well enough alone. If the dial looks too aged to you then don't buy the watch.

This is about the fourth in the last 12 months on ebay, so uncommon but not excessively

What would be a fair price for a stepped Connie in this condition? 3.8 - 4.4k?

Not sure if its my monitor or not, but doesn't the rotor bridge and rotor look a different colour?

I think they are in same colour, but there is sign of a worn rotor axle (the rotor is touching the caseback)
