路路Kilt Owner, Beagle Parent, Omega CollectorLady Alpha announced a few minutes ago we are about to rescue two hedgehogs.
Seemingly we have to have a garden visit first ? Tomorrow I am instructed to ensure that the garden in secure etc.
Can only hope it was some fine French red talking, somehow I don't think so 馃檨

路They are learning to lap rather than suckle. Table manners take time.
We had 4 young hedgehogs last winter. They were all too small to survive hibernation when we found them in the autumn, so we built an insulated nest in one of the stables and they over-wintered there with the help of ad-hoc food and hot water bottles. They are quite smelly. Two survived and were released in the spring - we haven't seen hide nor spine of them since. Last year was a really tough year for hedgehogs weather-wise.

路We had a Bengal too but he died a couple of years ago aged 15.
