    Well I often complain about mine, but then I am presented with a belated birthday present.
    Know nothing of this piece, no matter what I love it but any thoughts appreciated - even the worst kind.
    Elgin and Jaquet obviously known names but that is about as far as my knowledge goes.

    A nice to have if you're interested in collecting interesting movements.

    And the watch is quite nice too, early Rolex influence there?

    Correct. This Elgin was not the same as the original Elgin. The stylized E under the name is the giveaway. Still a nice looking watch.

    Thanks guys, and the great thing about having two daughters is another present is in transit from wherever ::jumpy::

    I've heard a story abuot a girl called "L-a" pronounced "la dash a" that's right, you pronounce the - as "dash"

    Heard a story about a child who's name is pronounced "Pee Salm Vee [last name withheld]" by her mother. She was asked to write the girl's name down (on whatever form she was filling out at the hospital) and it was spelled Psalm V.

    Yes, just like the religious implication. :p ::facepalm2:: No, I'm not making that up.
