    Hi guys,

I've been testing some of my mechanical watches against Kello app and my Genève Cal. 1012 has been gaining on average amazing 0.02s/day. Is that even possible? Have you used Kello? Is it reliable?

    Best,

    Paulo

I know the watchmaker that developed it. From what I have heard, it is difficult to get reliable results unless the room is very quiet, the watch ticks quite loud, and you have a good microphone for it.

If you want to check how well your watch is keeping time, use time.gov and note the time down in comparison to the web site, then check 24 hours later to measure gain or loss.

    Cheers, Al

Thanks, Al. I did have to lock myself in the bathroom and place the watch and the iPhone mic on a cushion. It's very, very difficult to get the signal, but once you do the app does show the beat rate. I'll be using time.gov from now on

I confirm the above from personal experience. Very difficult to get a decent result.
