I thought it was all in good spirits.....but then again I don't have skin in that particular game....

I once was stopped in Malawi for riding a bike with no helmet. I was arrested, sentenced, convicted and placed in prison by lunchtime.
The officer who escorted me was very proud of the court process and efficiency. Without irony told me ‘proper justice system, no kangaroo court here’

 

I don't think purges are censorship here, but sometimes happen. I have great trust in the Mods.

 

Riding a bike without a helmet resulted in prison time rather than a fine? That seems... less than efficient since it costs the government money rather than gaining them income. How long was your sentence?

 

9 months hard labour. But that’s another story!

Well I was on vacation for two weeks and evidently I missed something... I'm guessing this may have been a good thing, but I keep seeing reference to it. Oh well back to creating my post about seeing the Apollo-Soyuz capsule and the Endeavour.

 

The only difference between old time gladiators compared to nowadays do is that they are today being well paid to being killed or getting severe brain damage

 

What did I miss?
