hi all, I currently have my 2201.50 and I do absolutely love it, but I tried the newer model the 232.30.42.21.01.001 ceramic version and I really love that too. Used in good condition there only a stones throw in price to the 2201 but do I make that jump? I know 8500 spose to be the better movement, but 2201 surely a better investment? That being said watches are not primarily investments just nice to know you are not loosing money in the long run, and are they really likely to spike in price? I imagine the only true collectors piece will be the LMPO's? Any advice appreciated, do I put up for sale and put a little toward a nice ceramic model? Or keep what I have? Thanks
Have you tried on the newer Ceramics? It wears a bit larger and taller on the wrist than the 2201.5. Its only 1.5mm wider but wears taller due to the 8500 movement. Not offering any advice but the 2201.5 sure does wear nice.
Are you looking at a ceramic seamaster pro or a planet ocean? The reference number you gave is for a planet ocean but it sounds like you are talking about an SMPc
100% the planet ocean sorry. Such a great watch I will stick with the line, just whether to go newer or not.
Yes buddy I know they are slightly bigger, I can pull one of very nicely, I can pull off the xl models but I am not a huge fan of over size watches on myself I get a little self conscious of the size and take the joy away of wearing a fine watch
The bezel was what did it for me too. I love the grey. The 2201 is a total classic too though so it's a tough choice. I totally misread your original post by the way. I thought you had a 2254 and not the 2201. My bad.
