Not eBay but it could be of interest anyway. http://www.kaplans.se/sv/auktioner/3035/vara/1201303 OMEGA, "Pilot´s watch", mens watch, 46 mm, Cal 40,6S.T2.15P, Serialnr. 7748672, Ref nr. It seems kind of crazy that Kaplan's is posting lots for an auction in May in January. I'm not an auction house expert but that seems so far away.
They have done this for many years so I suppose there is a reason. My guess is that it's easier to get objects for the auction if they do like this. When it's time for auction they use to have at least 200 objects so what that we see today isn't what we will see on auction day.
I wasn’t at the auction – but I understand it sold for SEK 265,000 (over $32,000). Add the auction fee and that’s over $38,500. Forget your Speedies – this is where the real action is. Tom
