ยทSo I bought a watch off of ebay, as it appeared to come with a vintage Rolex buckle that matched this one:

Now on reflection I see that those are different (Rolex is stamped into one, and is protruding out from the other), but in general from the photos I could see on the auction the buckle seemed to match, or be quite similar.
Now when it arrived it was obvious that the buckle was chrome plating over brass, as it was worn in a couple places. I have my doubts that Rolex would ever have produced a buckle in anything but SS or precious metal, but before I file a return (yes, the watch was sold as having a Rolex buckle), I guess I'd like to make sure that my instincts are correct, and that this is likely a fake.
