·So yesterday I was doing my usual rounds and this one popped up for sale in my country. Two average pictures of the watch in a box and no further description other than, "Omega Flightmaster" so clearly a non-WIS seller.
A quick flurry of mails ensued and within ten minutes a deal was struck with an appointment planned for today. Normally I'd have hopped into the car directly but yesterday I already had plans and had to trust that the seller would stick to his word and keep it for me overnight. The sales listing was still visible online and we all know how quick the rug can get pulled out from under a 'digital handshake'
The seller was great and had stuck to his word and our deal although he had received much overnight interest. So this morning I went early to pay/pick it up and I was very pleasantly surprised to see on the table with the watch it's Omega guarantee papers in their plastic wallet and then to top it off the seller also produced the original sales receipt from the same date for 850ƒ (Dutch guilders).
The case back is in great shape
1970's pushers
Nice trapezoid logo on the 1162
Coming just in range to still have a steel brake 911
Here after a gentle clean and ultrasonic bracelet bath 😀
