I understand that, as soon as you make any sort of broad generalization about UG dials, you can find an exception to the rule.
But that UG signature makes my
spidey sense tingle...
Please offer your learned opinions on these observations:
- the word "GENÈVE" should be a slightly smaller font size as compared to "UNIVERSAL"
- I think I have seen flat-top and sharp-top "A" ...but can't recall seeing a rounded "G" before..?
- l'accent grave is missing over the È (although I am aware UG was not consistent)
I've tried to line up the OP dial (left) with another dial from the same era (right) that has more of the characteristics that I would expect in the signature. What say you, good folks of the forum?
