I spotted this one on the Recommended Ebay Thread, and today it finally arrived.
I especially like the idea that this was a gift from the company to an employee that worked 25 years at the New York Telephone.
I imagine how this watch felt special for that person, and how the world was like in 1972.
The especial good condition makes it for me sort of a time capsule.

First thing it will get a good service, but can't wait to rock it!
More than 50 years since its creation

Here are some photos and a link to a little unboxing video

I agree. I have no idea why some people don’t like engravings like this. I think they’re kind of fun, especially on an entry level piece.

Hey folks, I do have a question about this watch. From my research it should be a 166.041, with cal 565.
But why doesn't it have "Geneve" written on the dial?

During the 60s and 70s many Omega models with the same case number have multiple sub-branding ie you see some as Seamaster, some as Geneve, some as DeVille and some blank. It's nothing to be concerned about. Geneve became pretty meaningless after ~1965 when Omega moved production away from Geneva so the presence or lack of that name on the dial means very little.
