image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg As a big watch lover/collector usually Tudor and Rolex. My 2 Omega keepers have really struck me hard. My Connie 14k day date and my “as far as I can tell” original 48mill 1992 Speedy Moon watch. Please let me know what y’all think.

Ps. The family and I are going to Comic-Con KC today and the speedy is going with me.

Be careful of the upper pusher on the Speedy. From the back, it doesn't look to be seated properly (from the front, too).

^^^ screw is coming loose. Need to open the case, remove the movement, tighten the screw, replace the movement...in other words see a watchmaker.

    Cheers, Al

    Great catch, gents!

Welcome to the forum @DWSR - lovely watch that hopefully you can have fixed up and enjoy for years. The patina of the lume on the dial and hands looks particularly nice.

Yes one of my favorites. My father in law bought it new in 93 and I bought it from him about 2 years ago. It will be going to my son one day I hope. But until then I will have to take care of her.

The 48 mill serial and the fact that it is stamped on the lug make me think it is much later than 1985.

I’m lost even the chart here on the forums puts a 48mil at 1985? The movement and case numbers match. 5F367024-2B09-4664-9A20-1D1B42FBA2CA.png

The chart you show is not correct for Speedmaster Professionals. No pro's had a 50 mill serial number. All 90's speedies up until 99 had 48 xxxxxxx

Speedmaster's from 1991-1995, I'd bet on the later side.

Oh, and don't bring it to an official Omega repair center - you may lose your original parts. Find a well-regarded watchmaker in your area instead, it'll cost less too if they're only focusing on the pusher instead of trying to upsell you on replaced parts

Extract of the Archives from Omega. It will tell you the actual production date of your watch.

So, we ad a new meaning to the word, "You've got a screw loose man."

Also, Omega had a different series of serial numbers for Speedmaster Moonwatches than the rest of their production line, so you have to find the Moonwatch serial number chart. For example this one http://chronomaddox.com/romans.html
