Just in! My first vintage watch I'm very excited to share my newly acquired SM300. I've been on a serious Hunt for an original 60's SM300 at least a year and a half. I just love the overall appearance of this watch, it's a timeless classic. This hunt was extremely difficult as there are countless fakes and franken watches out there. So I spent quite a significant amount of time reading different blogs about what to look for when buying a vintage Omega Seamaster. That knowledge kept me clear of a few questionable transactions. Most importantly I bought the seller. My perseverance finally paid off - I can't tell you how happy I am with this watch. The patina is simply stunning, I've never viewed patina like this in person and I'm blown away. The pictures do not do this watch justice. Watch also came with the original Omega bracelet 1039 from 69. However I just picked up two new NATO's so I'll share a few pics on the new NATO straps. Thanks for looking
Good job, a great looking watch. It also gives me some hope, I have spent 4 months searching for the right example of the watch I really want. I missed two before the search began so I know they are out there. But at times I think 'forget it, just buy a whatever catches my eye'.
Shaun - I know exactly how you feel, I was tempted to do the same. All I can say is don't settle, it's well worth the wait.
Nice SM 300 with wonderful patina & WABI -- congrats on entering the world of vintage with a bang! Best, T.
I have just realised, it was you that got the auction ended early! The watch had been recommended here and it just disappeared out of my watch list! I thought I had seen it somewhere
The hunt is the fun part. The rarer the watch, the better the chase. I can't wait for the renovations to be complete so I can get back to Ahabbing.
oh wow, very nice pick up. Im very jealous right now! I usually just browse the watchery and http://www.growingdeals.com/thewatchery-coupons/ to see what new good deals on watches.
