Ah ok so I've got to change the time 20 days worth? Quite hard to get a grip on the crown so that could be tricky! When the crown is back in do I tighten it to secure it or just leave it loose?

Nothing to secure, just push it back in.

Excellent. And I pressume I can wind it manually using the crown? Does changing the time (ie lots to change the date) result it losing charge?

You're probably not going to wear it all the time so setting the date is a "waste of time" (pun, get it?)

And I wouldn't put a vintage bumper on a winder for days on end just to keep the date window making sense.

Just give it a few winds when you put it on and your movement will do the rest.

And just admire the date window for its beautiful faceted bezel, not the little meaningless number inside.
