As usual for this type of thread, just one photo. He is asking ~$750. What do you guys think?

I paid a little more that for an 18K Ultra Chron. Crown is wrong also.

I'm assuming this is US and not Australian dollars.

    I'd recommend a pass.

Thanks. Yes US$. I asked about the crown. It is a longines crown, but I didn't think it was correct for this watch.

Way too expensive. That'd go for - what? $200 on Ebay?

Been about 6 aftershocks, stringest in the mid 7s, weakest mid 5s

I am in Santiago, just over 200km from epicentre. On the 9th floor. Building swayed, and some roughed up emotions, but otherwise all seems fine in Santiago. My 2 kids (4 and 2) took it in their stride.

Wish I could say the same. I've been through Category 4 hurricanes, but you get 48 hours warning for these.

An earthquake would absolutely freak me out.

The first time I was in an earthquake was a hotel in Antigua, Guatemala (where you get a little one every few days, and a bigger one two or three times a year). I called the front desk to complain about the late night construction noise. Hoots of laughter in the background. I was a celebrity with the hotel staff for the rest of my stay - the gringo who complained to the management about the earthquake. Very good-natured bunch.
