Good point, though it doesn't look to me like the kind of watch that people on the second hand market usually describe using a reference number! Especially given the proportions between the size of the case, crown and strap, (if you know what I mean!)
If he is using this phraseology, asking this question about this type of watch, OP might do better with a series of image searches on google, bing and lycos etc and pressing SHOW MORE until he finds one. Or asking an Omega dealer what the cost of a replacement would be?
Still, at least it isn't quartz!
