Off to a better start than I had - I bought a new TAG when I got my first decent job and took a bath on the depreciation when my tastes changed and decided to move on. Welcome, enjoy your Speedmaster and stick around a while!

That one looks really, really nice. I'm still early in my search for a 'first'; hoping to find a '66 since that is when I was born and it would be a nice thing to eventually pass on to my son.

That was exactly my though. Wanted a watch for my graduation. A gift for my hard work. Hopefully one day pass it on to my son as a gift as well.

Nice find. Is that a stepped dial? What is the serial range? 30m?

    Nice, congrats.

Regarding the 1039, that's part of the charm with vintage watches; you often can't just nip out and buy the part or watch you want.

Usual avenues are the for sale section here, ebay etc. it might take anything from 24 hours, to several months to get a correct one in good condition at a price you're happy with.
