As per the title, just bought this Seamaster and it`s on the way.
The previous owner couldn`t tell me a lot about it, just that he bought it in `83 preowned and from then it just lay in his safe, it`s condition looking alike.
Nothing about caliber or serial number, he didn`t have or want to have the case open but he said that he has hints that inside is a 562 and that is gold plated.
So I just took a blind chance and bid&won it....Now, oppinions. please, regarding my 260 pounds purchase.
    Thx, Lucian

I don't know much about these 1960s Omegas, but a calibre 562 sounds right. The watch looks to be gold plate, as you say, and in fairly good cosmetic condition. You'll need to allow another £100 to £150 for a service, but once that's done you should have a decent everyday wearer.

Well, the overall condition of the watch was what made me tick, the dial looks legit and not redone though from the photos it looks in a rather good shape which makes me thing that the 30 years in a safe is not just a story.I just can`t wait to see what`s inside. A fair deal for the money, I think.
Promise new pics when it will arrive.

Looks nice. That's a good price for us in the UK. I'd personally lose the bracelet and put it on a nice black croc strap

+2 on the bracelet. Those expanders take their toll on the inside of lugs - especially on a plated watch - as well as ripping the hairs from your wrist.

I would clearly loose the bracelet and my options are black or brown....still wondering and looking for a genuine bracket and strap for it.

+3 but I absolutely love the natural gator with gold. What's cool is that you can buy 2 or 3 great straps for a little and change for occasions 30.10.jpg

Ok, need your advice again since I followed the thread about buckles.
I just won this strap&buckle on the bay and just wondering what you guys think: it fits the watch? is it a genuine buckle? (it seems to me it is)
is it a quality strap? ( to me it looked like it is). Thx!
