Posted this picture yesterday but I'd like to share a bit more about this Ranchero.



The case isn't sharp as on day one but I am okay with that for a worn 60-years old watch. The caseback attests the worn condition.



The crown seems to have been replaced at a certain point in its life.



I am not a fan of the broad arrow hands on the Speedmasters, definitely not. But it’s difficult not to be in awe of the perfectly patinated dial and broad arrow hands of this one... the pictures say thousand words :



Everything is new to me with this watch. The size, the style, the history... Have to give it some wrist time and see in the mean time, look forward to read your thoughts

Thanks. Unfortunately not - my interest in vintage watches is relatively new but the Ranchero is one of the models that have caught my eye. I do prefer the black dial to the white version also out there.

Here’s another macro

 

I find the minute markers from 27-33 are the quickest and easiest way to spot a fake or redial Rancheros. Note how two are elongated to touch the subdial but none bleed into it. I haven't seen redials that replicate this.
