I think the difference between vintage watches and stamps/baseball cards is that the value of the watches is secure as long as the mother company continues to thrive - that's why patek and rolex rule vintage watch values. I believe the value of vintage omega watches will closely mirror the success of the modern day omega brand (and I think at least in the near to medium term things are looking good).

Agreed. That's why I think Longines will be the brand to watch over the next decade or so. They're values are already rising steadily.

Back on topic, the seller of the four deLuxe Constellations has provided eBay feedback for the buyers of 3 of the 4 watches sold. Perhaps the winner of the fourth watch has not paid at this time. 😒 Interesting to see how this plays out.

Never seen one of those bracelets before, its like a leather strap only made out of gold, haven't seen too many of those silver boxes either, its a really nice touch as a presentation box, certainly a cut above anything on the market these days.

That bracelet is top notch as well. Price though a bit too steep. Mr. Minto has had some premium omegas over the years - he had for example an original black piepan connie with white gold arrowhead markers (one of two that I have seen of this type).

Yea, just looking at it and how fine the mesh is you'd have thought it'd get at least slightly kinked over the years, but the fact that its even still in that box (which hasn't been melted) kind of hints that its had a rather treasured and pampered life.

I actually have no problem with that watch being engraved since the condition of the case is excellent. I would venture a guess that the engraving may have contributed to the watch being in such good shape - it was a presentation watch and the owner probably only wore it on special occasions. I don't go for the personalized watches as well but would overlook that if the watch is in as nice a shape as this one. I think in this case, the engraving would not really affect the value significantly - condition and originality trump all!

Wow, pretty incredible, 3 more! The last 3 don't seem quite as nice as the first 4, one is 14k.
It's like somebody found a Bag-O-Connies buried in their backyard.
