Yes and this was only the beginning of the the NOTCG series that followed. A lot of folks became infected due to these threads.

I think the NOTCG threads helped propel the site early on and also made it clear discussions on ebay listings even if live were acceptable.

Yea I remember a time when Constellation Deluxes were a genuine rarity around here with only a handful of people having nice examples, a year or two later and you could do a Deluxe roll call thread that would go on for ages.
