I was at home in our very small farming town in central Wisconsin...I was 5. My parents made me watch the Moon landing on TV..."Pay attention, son! This is a BIG deal...this is HISTORIC!"...or something along those lines. To be honest, I didn't think it was such a big deal at the time...I was still recovering from an unsuccessful flying attempt [using my mother's green umbrella] from the roof of our garage.
I wasn't even a glint ... my Dad would have just sailed around the world for the first time and my Mum was still in school.
Yonkers, NY at my grandparents. This was good because they had a color TV and we didn't at that time. gatorcpa
Watched it on TV in Queens NY. Like Mad Dog my parents made a big deal of it, so it really stuck in my mind.
I was 11. I remember my Dad telling me that in 5 or 10 years time, we'll all be holidaying on the moon!
Is that lego? Man lego are so cool now, when I was a kid the only shapes we had was square or rectangle
