Lately I have been participating in a vintage market stall near me on the weekends: selling all sorts of old mechanicals and junk I've piled up. However, as my overall stock levels were a bit low, I dabbled a bit and won some watch lots at auction. These are all the watches I found that are working; however one particularly caught my eye... Which one? This; with a very nice buckle on the end. 70s Omega buckle score from a non Omega watch! There was also this compressor, though I'm not too knowledgeable about how they work. Anyone else have some bulk buy finds they'd like to share?
Not sure what Breitling chrono model that is but the ones with the pilot module usually pique Breitling fan's interest.
Unfortunately they're all shameless Chinese copies. Surprisingly people will still buy them Nope, it's a watch with an Australian jewelry shop's name and a Swiss movement. Interesting dial though...it's like a swirl. And don't worry, I've destroyed a few Tissots in my mad amateurish attempts at cleaning and oiling...
I recall a guy on TZ or somewhere a few years ago who bought a "bag-o-watches" for $2 or something, and there was a Patek inside. I've had the occasional good score, but not at that level...
One of my buddies was at a thrift shop here down under, and in front of him were two high school kids. They saw these two "Bag-o-watches" for $10 each and said "Oh, haha, $10 for watches," and didn't take them. He bought them right off the bat, and there was an automatic 18k Seamaster in running condition in one of them...amongst other things.
