Joseph Bonnie - Nasa Velcro Strap

Just received my Nasa velcro strap from Joseph Bonnie, super excited when I received it until I actually wore it. This strap is extremely uncomfortable, I couldn't keep it on for more than 30 min, it was actually painful and scratchy as well.

The overall quality is very flimsy and cheap, the strap is extremely thin without anything to add comfort on the outer edges, so when worn after a few minutes it feels like it wants to cut your skin. The Nasa part number print is barely visible and nothing compared to the pictures. I purchased both colors which sucks.

Probably not worth to ship it back from were i live.

I have one too, military green, original Nasa color, and you're right, it is very thin... I don't feel unconfortable as you... But I read somewhere I (don't remember where), that the original Nasa velcro strap was thin too, and that J.Bonnie found the same material to re-build these copies... I doubt... I won't trust this thin textile alone in space during an EVA...

According to Joseph Bonnie, they don't make the strap. I came to find out because I bought both colors together and they have an offer that any order above 119euros gets free international shipping and this wasn't included, so when I asked them why they said the offer was only for items they made and this wasn't.

I thought this was as close to the original one could get:
https://www.seb12100030.com/
Mine is quite comfortable and the dimensions and materials are as close to the real thing possible.
Waou, looks good... better than J.Bonnie... but sold out for now... thanks, I keep it in the bookmarks... ::screwloose::

I actually wanted to buy that, but waited a couple of weeks because it was out of stock and ran out of patience and started searching for alternatives and landed on JB unfortunately.

Anyways, just wanted to share my experience so that others don't end up doing what I did.

These straps are definitely worth waiting for. I bought one a few years ago and it has held up well. Very comfortable to wear and holds the watch securely on the wrist.

I’ve been thinking about one of these. Can I pester you with some questions?
- Did you get long or short?
- How’s the quality compare to say an Omega nato?
- I noticed this alternative https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/253441538297
Any chance anyone has experience with these? Fratello gave them a good review but I wonder if I should hold out for the seb ones.

Yeah, no worries.
-Short.
-Never had an Omega NATO but for me the quality is good and durable.
-Haven't tried one but if you buy it can you let us know how it is?
Not really much help.

It really looks like the JBonnie!... it seems that the band is "thin" again...
The origin of the Nasa JBonnie comes from a german guy, Peter Czernin, fan of speedmaster; he makes these strap, handmade, in Germany, and they are sold by JBonnie. So the "germany" coincidence is not a coincidence according to me; these ebay straps are the JBonnie straps... The pictures are really nice.... but reality is poor...

For half the money I went with a GGB strap, not close to original but very high quality IMHO.
