You can find some reasonably priced rectangular JLC vintage, I’d start there.

The Hamilton Otis, is pretty much an exact copy with an American movement. Lecoultre ended up filing a lawsuit which surprise surprise.... Hamilton lost....

No, there was no lawsuit... that is an unfounded rumor that has persisted for years to try to explain why the Hamilton Otis is such a scarce watch.

Hamilton and LeCoultre entered into a licensing agreement in early 1938. Hamilton paid LeCoultre a royalty of 60 cents on each Otis that it sold. Eventually the Otis was dropped from the Hamilton line after 7 or 8 years for the same reason as other models are discontinued... decreasing sales... NOT because LeCoultre sued Hamilton for infringement.

The Hamilton Otis was only available in gold filled case. It did offer two dial options though.
