·So I did end up buying the 1408.93 JLC that was labelled as "non-working" on Ebay.
After some investigation of the movement, I concluded that the fault laid in a loose screw in the movement. You can see it hovering in the rotor trench. The watch would stop working when the screw touched the balance wheel. I can't locate where it came from. I am sure that a service will fix the problem. It mustn't have been tightened well enough during the last service.
Even at 37mm, this watch is too large for me, so I'd like to move it on.
This watch comes with manuals and a box. Will require a new strap/buckle, as the one is worn out.
The watch winds and runs and the extra functions work properly, including the date pusher.
$3300 OBO via Paypal. It'll be hard to ship out of the US because of insurance restrictions, but I can try and work with you.
