    hi all,

I bought a JLC Reverso Lady. It came with a 18k WG buckle. Now i´d like to know, if that buckle could be a fake ???
    Thank you + regards - H.U.

So it's 750% gold, eh? They even screwed up the percent sign, which shouldn't be there in the first place! :p ::facepalm2::

Fake for sure. Even if the stamp was right, JLC never sold anything so crudely put together.

Don't throw it way yet. Have it tested first.

I've seen some fake vintage buckles that were actually made from solid gold.

One guy used to sell these by the dozen on eBay years ago. If you wanted a vintage-looking precious metal buckle, it was just about your only alternative.

If it doesn't pass the acid test, then I would keep it, just because it looks nice. Just be sure to tell any future potential buyer that it's a fake buckle.

    Just my 2c worth.

...the story: i bought a 260.5.08-reverso (quarz), because my watchmaker needed it for repairing another watch.

http://www.ebay.de/itm/321772586428?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

i thought i could have a little benefit selling the rest: bracelet and buckle. im not familiar with modern watches and trusted the seller, because he stated "ARMBAND: 100% ORIGINAL JAEGER LE COULTRE! LEDER! NEW!!!" and I had payed via paypal. I put it in ebay and then stopped both auctions, after starting this thread and getting your answers, was at the local JLC-shop, where they told me that the bracelet is a fake too. hours of work for nothing...
i hope, the seller gives a refund and withdraws his shit. excuse my unperfect english.

    regards - h.u.
