So I have been slowly coming back on line here after getting back from Germany Sunday night.

Great trip, went to Munich, Frankfurt, and Dresden. From Dresden there was a short train ride to...

Very nice little town, and certainly watchmaking is it's business.

Also picked up a new one for me, and one for my wife as well - will post some photos when I get time.

    Cheers, Al

If you are sick take the time to look after yourself - don't hurl yourself back into it before you are ready....

Indeed - if I'm not at the bench, I'm not making a living, so I have certainly been back to work. Trying not to do too much too soon, but there's lots to be done of course....

    Cheers, Al

And although these are not Lange or GO quality, the movements are very nicely done:

For the money, I think Nomos are very good value for in-house movements. My Club runs flawlessly (and I wish it had an exhibition case back). I visited Wempe in the Frankfurt Airport a few weeks ago and got to see the models in person (finally). Next on my list, if I were in a buying mood, would be the Tetra (like your wife's new watch), probably with anthracite dial.

I also like the slim, elegant boxes. I am not a big fan of the gargantuan box trend!
