    heya all

So I emailed Jean Rousseau about a FOIS strap but in 20mm

    Price was
    $130+ $10

Not outrageous but I’m curious how this compares to a Omegas price which I can’t seem to find

200 -250 or so... strap only.

What are you doing about buckle/clasp

Bought one from OF parts forum for $75 which I thought was a great price.

JR prices would be much better. Also JR apparently has a clasp too? I'm actually curious about that.

JR has their own clasp. I doubt you would be able to get an Omega branded clasp directly from JR, but it couldn't hurt to ask.

It's nice, but not as as nice as the Omega.

Edit: I should clarify. The fit and finish are as nice. It just isn't quite as robust. Also, I should point out the clasp in the above Omega is 22mm, while the JR is 20mm.

Oh, they have a buckle too? Interesting. Do you have their deployant clasp as well? Or am I misinformed about that.

I don't know if JR has a deployant. I bought some deployant clasps from a recommended supplier (from the WUS). There are better available than I obtained, although mine are fine.

Thank you! Seems very different from OEM. Good to know. Any comments on quality?

Good quality, well finished - better than any other 3rd party one I’ve ever got on Amazon or Ebay etc. I just don’t love that it says ‘JR’ on it in such big letters.

Huh, okay. I will keep that in mind. I wonder then who is the OEM that makes the OEM omega clasps. Thank you for your comments.

I paid $500 US for OE leather strap and deployant buckle at AD for an AT Chrono. FOIS should be similar. I wanted the curved ends which I could not find other than OE.

Its this strap, custom made with the second flap deleted. I provided the length, hole location details, keeper location and probably some more detail to JR, and they made it to those specs. It costs about as much, or slightly higher than the one from Omega:

I've had one 1 experience with JR after being unable to buy an Aston Martin cordura strap (CWZ004526) from my local OB. I then emailed JR in NYC and they quoted USD250 for the strap plus 30 shipping. In the end though a casual conversation with a local AD led to them sourcing an OEM strap direct from Omega Switzerland for a bit less than JR's strap price and without shipping charge. Quality wise JR and Omega would have been identical as JR were the maker of the OEM Aston Martin.

I had JR make a custom curved end strap for my Aqua Terra GMT. I had to donate the OEM strap from Omega so they could get the molded ends out to use on the new custom strap. It turned out great, very similar to the OEM fit. Cost was around $250ish. Sorry I don't have a pic handy to share.

Omega's NATO straps are now $160 on the website and come in a red logo'd flat travel case.
