It's nice that it was a Constellation, sadly it's a really bad redial. But if I look at the rest of his collection, that's okay.
I am not so sure it’s a redial, these earlier fonts didn’t have serifs and where much clumsier than the later models.
Look at the magnified image, and I think you will change your mind pretty quickly. Not just the font, but the tick marks., the cross-hairs (including the lovely line going right through the "6"), etc.
It's interesting because in the video, he says he "lost" it while skiing when he was 18. So I wonder if by "lost" he meant that it was damaged and had to be re-done. Considering it was a gift to him, would make sense that he doesn't care about the originality of the piece as much as others that were purchased.
I appreciate what your saying and it’s very likely a redial. I still think the fonts are hard to fault though, certainly wouldn’t say it’s a bad redial.
