Is there something called a barn find in this niche?
Found this today in a tiny shoe repair store in NYC.
And to think I nearly bought one on eBay for $400+.

 

That’s pretty great. You know, I walked by those combination shoe / watch repair stores thousands of times when I was in NYC, and I never once went inside (besides for shoe repair of course..). They always had Invictas or other crap watches in the window so I never bothered.

 

I was actually on a quest having failed to get one on eBay where prices are crazy at $700 ish. This guy had a tray of old bracelets, mostly the steel elastic ones, and at the bottom I spotted this. Couldn’t believe it, first place I went into. I bet there are hundreds of these out there in the bottom of trays in obscure stores you won’t find on google.
