I was bidding on this JB Champion when it was at $146. Thought I'd go for the moon and put in a $300 bid. Immediately outbid. Then it went up to $661. Is this normal for the correct JB Champion for a pre-moon Speedy? Not sure it's worth it.

Yes, especially with the horn end link. As the cost of the 7912/1035/1039 bracelet and end links continue to increase , the JB will rise as well.

You can't just visit that world. You have to live in it to understand. Consider Speedmaster Town like NYC - even the cheapest apartments cost an arm and a leg, and it's highly competitive.

I bought mine a couple months back. At the time there were two on eBay from two different sellers advertised at $750, bin. Try negotiating with a seller advertising bin.

Ultimately they seem to be selling in the $550-650 range depending on condition.

    Yes, crazy prices.

I watch the JB auctions pretty closely and I think the prices have come down a bit from last year but are starting to creep up again. The horned end pieces will always command a stronger price than the straight end piece bracelets, thank you Dick Gordon, but $661 might be slightly stronger than they have been selling for in the past few months. I have seen them go for around $500 recently. The best thing to do is follow them on ebay and once a good one comes up immediately contact the seller and try to work a deal if the seller is open to ending the auction early.

Is it worth it you asked? Absolutely, if you have the extra cash to drop on one.

Also, if you think the bracelet is expensive wait until you try to track down those little calendars down to wrap around it.

BTW, @corn18 the JB Champion bracelet is worth it. Must have. I love it. I don't think I will ever go back to my 1035 bracelet.

Note my Apollo 7 calander... Thanks to @TLIGuy
    He hooked me up. :)

A true Speedmaster devote must have at least one Speedmaster on a 7912, one on a 1039 and one on a JB mesh.
At least that is what Dennis is always telling me

Wow. I've been following JB Champion and Forstner Komfit, on and off, for a couple of years. This ebay auction sale, if real, has broken a threshold that I have not seen. Big number for a non Omega bracelet.
