In honor of the legendary and incomparable Wayne Shorter, who passed today. Can鈥檛 tell what watches he鈥檚 wearing in these photos from relatively recent to back in the 60s, but they look damn cool and interesting, like the man himself.

Looks like a Tag Heuer in pic #1 and a Breitling in pic #2. I'm just guessing a Patek in pick #3.

I can only visualize one photo out of the three. It would be great if you reupload the other two. From the looks of it, I think Miles Davis is wearing his emblematic Breitling Navitimer 806. 馃榾

Today marks the sad passing of legendary composer, arranger and producer Quincy Jones. He was one of the most influential jazz musicians of the 20th century according to Times magazine. During the 1960s he worked with icons such as Frank Sinatra, Piggy Lee, Ella Fitzegerals and many more.

I came across this picture today. Mr. Jones appears to be wearing an Audemars Piguet Millinary. Not a surprise since he was the brand's Ambassador in 2010 which also marked the launch of a limited edition of 500 timepieces that bore his name.

Rest in peace Q!

Glad to see this thread alive thanks to your wonderful contributions. 馃憤

Like @Omegafanman pointed out, Miles Davis indeed wore a Breitling Navitimer in the Salle Pleyel, Paris - On November 3rd 1969.
Here's the cleanest picture of the said watch.

An article by Hodinkee also shed light on the legendary trumpeter's timpeiece: https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/spotted-a-breitling-navitimer-on-the-wrist-of-miles-davis-cihtml

Curiously enough, I recently came across one of Davis' watches. Turns out this Curb Link bracelet is an 18k white ( or yellow ) gold Piaget with a back-wound JLC movement. This is hands down my favourite one so far!

Curious if he wore the one with our without the AOPA logo? Thanks!

To my knowledge, Miles' Navitimer didn't bear the AOPA logo unfortunately.
