Agreed. Never liked that hour hand. Plus that faux patina just does not look good. Maybe it would be better in person, but still...

Yeah, gonna have to take a raincheck on that one. Now the 3717 I've always loved, mostly due to one of the nicest bracelets I've ever tried on:

That is a great bracelet. Had one on my (long gone :() Spitfire Mark XV. First I sold the bracelet, then I sold the watch a couple years later. If the chips fall in my favor, I'll buy another one day.

Yikes, that hour hand is ::puke::

I was passing near Schaffhausen in the fall and stopped in at the IWC museum (despite not being an IWC afficianado). They have a tremendous back catalogue from which to draw on, with the defining characteristic of their older models being simplicity.

The more they stray from simple, straightforward design (with things like the ‘wait, is it broken off’ hour hand above), the further I get from buying a modern one.

Love this watch. They got so many things right here. I totally agree about the bracelet.

Well dang...it looks pretty good in my humble opinion...even with the blocked hour hand.

My beef is even at 4,500 MSRP that’s expensive for a 7750 imho. This watch is online only at 4,950 online exclusive for at least 6 months, which means the regular version of this watch on bracelet already has better hands imho and a lower price before any discounts which are not hard to find.

Since it’s online only you will pay full price.

The Sinn 103 and it’s varients run $2250 for basically the exact same watch and you can hunt the bezel less variant 356 for less.

The identical Sinn 356 is under $1800

Ok...the price is a little steep but what's wrong with the watch itself?
You and I must get together for a cup of Tim Horton's! Long love "The Hour Hand".::psy::
