For sale is a nice stainless steel IWC from the early 1960s with caliber 853. The stainless steel case is in very good condition and appears unpolished to me. The lugs are quite sharp. Case width is around 35/36mm not counting the crown. The dial has developed patina which is more pronounced in the upper half of the dial. The crown and crystal are unsigned, which is not uncommon with IWCs from this time period. The caseback is also in very nice condition. The movement is keeping time but has not been serviced in my possession. Therefore, I recommend a service if you intend to wear this watch frequently. The watch will come on a simple black leather strap as seen in the photos. There haven't been too many IWCs listed for sale on these forums but I found two comparable watches from several years back priced at $1500: 1. https://omegaforums.net/threads/automatic-iwc-vintage-watch-caliber-853.28443/ 2. https://omegaforums.net/threads/iwc-cal-853-auto.2485/ Understanding that patina isn't for everyone, I am asking $600 for this watch. Shipping in the USA will be included in the price. International sales are gladly accepted with Transferwise being the preferred form of payment. International shipping will be at cost to buyer. Returns accepted if the watch is misrepresented. I have had transactions on this forum with reviews posted in the Seller Profile section.
