    Hi OF,

I've been trying to find out on what is cal is the movement below, but I can't seemed to find an answer. I initially thought that it was a cal 83, but it appears to be different, and this looks like a cross between cal 83 and 89?

Apologies for the bad photos, but it's the best I can get. I can't even read the import code, the movement seems different than most IWC from 1940s, signed adjusted to 3 positions as well. The dial is not marked IWC, but I'm only trying to find out more about the movement. Serial on inside caseback appears correct for the period, but most period caseback I've seen has the IWC oval logo instead of full writing like this.

Would really appreciate the help on identifying the movement.

    Thanks heaps

    Andre

Thanks mate that's helpful on dating back the delivery year, seems to be from 1944. I'm trying to get the movement number from the seller. The import mark is HXB, I can't find HXB in the regular import code list. It seems that IWC used HXB up until 1945, can anyone confirm this?

If anyone can identify the movement, that'd be really helpful!

Just found some more info about it, seems to be cal. 60, which seems to be a follower of cal. 61 from 1943-47. How obscure!
