    Hi guys,

This is a drawer find from the mid '60s in near mint condition with the original leather strap and buckle. Based on the serial numbers (1,677,xxx for the movement and 1,717,xxx for the case), it was made somewhere around 1963-1965.
Although I planned on keeping it for a fairly long time (it's not the kind of watch one can easily buy again if one wants), some priorities have changed.

This watch respects the mantra "condition, condition, condition". The sunburst silver dial looks just lovely. The case is razor sharp and measures 34mm without the crown, 35mm with the crown and 8mm thick. Due to the thin bezel, it wears a little larger. The only thing that keeps me for considering this 100% mint is a superficial sign on the caseback. Otherwise, it's a mint ~50 years old watch from a great manufacturer.

The movement is IWC caliber 401 (the successor of IWC caliber 89), a true proven workhorse despite it's fairly thin profile. It underwent a full service a couple of weeks ago at a very good watchmaker. It's running great with around +6 seconds per day and 40 hours of power reserve. Service papers will be provided.

If you would want higher resolution pics, just drop me a pm. Since the case is snap on, I'm reluctant to attempt to open it as I don't want to risk scratching it...

Near mint IWC's from the '60 with original strap and buckle are fairly rare. My asking price is 1,575$ net to me (or the equivalent in Euros).

I have a couple positive reviews here as a seller, and I have been buying/ selling/ trading watches for several years now to fellow watch enthusiasts from all across the globe ( US, Canada, Australia, Netherlands, Croatia, Austria, UK, Turkey, Cyprus, Norway etc just to name a few) and everything went really well (including customs ;) ). More than glad to provide extra references upon request.
