My thoughts are if you like big, chunky, integrated bracelet, steel 1970´s, Constellation day-dates then you have made a good choice. :D

    I like it

There are always a few of these for sale (and quite often in fine condition - probably due to having been put in drawers when substituted with a quartz watch at the time of the first service!), though few are for sale in an auction-style setting, so pretty difficult to assess how much they "are worth".

As to the date of production, you could always look up the serial number on the movement in one of the online charts, they are pretty accurate.

The 750 series movements are quite robust, it'll be a good daily wear piece that'll serve you very well once its been serviced.

I might keep an eye out for a backup bracelet. that's one drawback of these.. if the bracelet goes, it's tough to find something that works.

otherwise, watch looks great! let's see a wrist shot when it arrives!

Did they replace the rotor pinion? They should have because it's worn and the rotor has clearly been rubbing on the inside of the case back. Did they just tell you it's bee serviced, or did they provide proof (receipt from a known service provider)? And who did the service?

    Cheers, Al

I've bought it from a watchmaker so I presume he has done it correctly after all he has guaranteed his work

If you know that this shop does good work, that's a bonus. But of course anyone can call themselves a watchmaker, so I have no idea what qualifications or skills this person may have. As I have mentioned before, there is sort of an inherent conflict of interest when you are servicing something to sell it...

This is a good caliber certainly, but I often see a lot of wear in these and the related calibers, and parts are not cheap for these.

    Cheers, Al

Hi there it looks a very nice watch. I love these 1970s watches. If you need a good watchmaker/repairer I can put you on to the one I use in the USA not only are they excellent for their workmanship they are very reasonable to. I have had many watches restored by them ranging from vintage Bulova´s ,Hamilton´s , Omega´s Longines, etc
    regards

Can you post a picture of the inside of the case back?
